For Immediate Release

MPG* 2.0 Upgrade - Application Software for Newton Devices tracks vehicle
expenses, fuel economy, trips, and maintenance.

Essex, VT, USA, November 22, 1994 - Catamount Software and Hardy Macia
announced the immediate availability of MPG 2.0 for Apple Computer's family
of
Newton products.

"MPG is replacement for the little book in your glove compartment."

The long awaited version 2.0 enhancements include:
   * Post MPG transactions directly to the personal financial package
PocketMoney*.
   * Setup reminders and alarms for services required for proper vehicle
maintance. User customizable alarms can be set on either milage, date or
both.
   * Trips have been expanded to better suit the needs of sales people and
others that need to track their vehicle's use for tax or billing purposes.
   * British/Canadian mpg support has been updated.
   * Newton Connection Kit support.
   * Find and Intelligent Assist support.

MPG allows the Newton owner to track vehicle performance, expenses and
maintenances. As the name suggests, MPG tracks the miles per gallon
between fillups for your vehicle, but it does much more. MPG can create
a report showing information such as the total amount of money spent
on a certain vehicle, the m.p.g. and $/mile for different octane levels,
and much more.

MPG is internationally friendly. U.S., U.K., or Metric measurements can be
used. The number of vehicles that can be tracked is only limited by the
Newton
device that MPG runs on. This makes MPG useful for companies that want to
keep
track of their fleets maintenance, but MPG is simple enough for a one car
family to use. Customizable popups speed data entry and limit the need for
handwriting recognition.

MPG is $20.00 (US). This is less than the cost of an oil change for most
cars.
MPG is will be available through on the newton.uiowa.edu, compuserve, AOL,
eWorld, mail, phone, and eMail orders. Add $5.00 for regular mail deliveries,

Cash, Check or Money Order accepted payable to Hardy Macia.
